Water is off for the entire town, again...

Early this morning at about 6:00 AM a drunkard ran over a fire hydrant.
And now it is nearly 3:00 PM and the water is still not back on yet.

Because it is the weekend there is nobody staffed at city hall, and the local police and fire services are not answering their phone.

See this is what I hate about the way that Republicans run things under the Trump administration.
Because I probably won't have any running water until 5:00 PM Monday night.
And having to go from Saturday morning until Monday night is a long time
to have to go without any water.

More like that loser drunkard probably drank scotch whisky all night long
before running over and busting open a few fire hydrants.

No, I slept in late this morning until 11:05 AM.
The water was already off, so no shower and no coffee or tea.

It took another 3 hours to find someone to ask them what happened to the water.
Since it is a small town, there is always somebody who knows that sort of thing.
Even when the local government is on vacation every weekend.

Thanks for making a post about an accident bc yesterday I didn't wanna create a thread just to say I saw a car slowly rear ended as I passed by in the other lane. I was a mile from home and couldn't stop laughing! Hahahhahhahah!!

Re: Water is off for the entire town, again...

I just left the house to go see how bad it is.
The entire town is without water because the water main between the water tower and the rest of the town is broken.

Only just now at 5:00 PM are they finally getting around to beginning to commence to thinking about starting to fix the water main.
With only 3 Hispanic workers playing around in the mud with a backhoe.

The water has been off for the entire town since 7:00 AM this morning.
And from the looks of how the entire street on that side of town is still flooded out
the so called "accident" as you put it, probably happened some time around 6:00 AM.

This isn't an accident, it is a tragedy of the commons caused by Republican mismanagement of government.

The government won't always be there to take care of your needs. This is why you need to always be prepared with your own stash of emergency supplies - including water.

Do you have an underground bunker?

Please draw us a flow chart that starts with the Trump Administration at the top and ends up with the incompetent public works department in your town.

Yes, as a matter of fact I do, MM. I'd like to keep you in it. For emergencies.

No doubt about it, that sucks.

The problem is resolved for now, the water is back on but it still tastes like top soil.
I mean the water is really nasty, and not in a swimming pool water sort of way.
More like a water pumped from the lake sort of way with small particles of yellow soil in it.
Like the kind of yellow soil used as filler in construction.

Ok to shower with and maybe wash cloths but definitely not for drinking.
