What type of "classic" Western? One of my all time favorites is "The Big Sky" by AB Guthrie.  Another is 'The Big Rock Candy Mountain" by Wallace Stegner which is Western, but not the gunslinger type.  And the Lonesome Dove series by Larry McMurtry is really good too. Lastly I'd add, "All the Pretty Horses" by Cormac McCarthy, but this is more of a modern classic. Anything I should be reading?

They're mostly from the 1930s-1950s.  I've never read any Western fiction before.  It's fun stuff.

I read that years ago, I know my father liked it and in fact he recommended it!

Infidel by Ayaan Hirsi Ali.

It's interesting so far. Somalian culture is pretty messed up. Then she goes to Saudi Arabia and they're even worse.

Trying to work my way through Lovecraft's works. I also want to re-read IT, but I'm a pretty slow reader these days so that might take me a while.
