Yeah. I still listen to CDs but I hardly ever listen to cassettes anymore.

I have a cassette player in my car. That is all I can listen to except for the radio in the car.

But it seems like the future will be streaming --- YouTube, Amazon Prime . . .

Re: Do you like tapes and CDs?

I have a few hundred CDs.

Haven't listened to any of them for 10 years.

My current music collection is a spreadsheet with youtube links.

I put them on with my headphones, or transmit to my TV.

Re: Do you like tapes and CDs?

I mostly use my CDs for ripping to iTunes. I still collect them when the opportunity presents itself. I own about.. hmmm.. I reckon 3,500 CDs.

When people say "tape" the first thing that pops into my mind is scotch, masking or duct tape. When they say "Nah, for music" I always think "8 tracks".

My only reason for starting the thread was so I could post  "Then I'll tape my dick to your forehead so you can CDs nuts!", but everybody made serious replies about media and such, so now I feel bad.

Re: Do you like tapes and CDs?

I no longer have a machine capable of playing cassette tapes or vinyl records.
Although my DVD player doubles as a CD player.

Although these days I prefer to put multiple MP3s in a folder on a DVD rom so I can play it on my DVD player.
The technology has come a long ways, but since I am stuck with an old standard TV, I don't see the need to upgrade to a Blu-Ray player.

Besides, all the Blu-Ray players I have ever seen require an internet connection in order to be activated.
Which to my way of thinking, if your product has to be "Activated" with an internet connection
then your product has already failed before it has even been sold.

As intrusive as it should ever get is filling out a warranty card to "prove" that you bought it legitimately.
